How to land a job as an Injector!

We are currently interviewing for an Aesthetic RN injector to work in our med spa. I figured I would impart some words of wisdom and encouragement as it is an extremely difficult industry to break into. My opinions are my own and may be controversial. Follow my advice to avoid common pitfalls that we see on a daily basis.

  1. You need a social media presence. The days of “ I don’t use social media for work” are over. You will have to showcase your personality, your skills and your portfolio. Put your Instagram and Tik Tok on your resume so we don’t have to sleuth you out like Nancy Drew.

2. Dress to impress. No jeans, no scrubs. You are attempting to secure a job in the Beauty Industry. We should be able to see your attention to detail in your professional and well groomed appearance.

3. Never disparage or talk negatively about another employer or company.

4. Be on time or early if possible. If you are lost or cannot secure parking, call the office. Anything can be overcome with communication.

5. Relax and be yourself. Skills can be taught, but kindness and respect are always more valuable.

6. If you are unsuccessful on your interview ask for constructive feedback, so that you may correct any deficiencies and come back and interview stronger next time.

7. Under no circumstances should you contact the staff through email, personal phone calls, DM, Google business message or any other public or private channel you may have uncovered. I would also not try “dropping in unexpectedly”, if you have not been among the candidates selected to interview. You may perceive these efforts as being involved and eager, but it is not professional and a red flag for poor impulse control and boundary issues.

8. Remember when one door closes, four more open.

Best of luck to you all in your search! Please contact us at botoxbeautybar@jeannamasone.com as we are always available to answer question regarding mentorship and business consulting.
